  • Rocky’s Dome Stained Glass Open Terrarium

A stained glass collection inspired by Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary - one of my favorite science-fiction stories and now one of my favorite films. Each piece is my own handmade interpretation of the characters, objects, and details that bring this story to life. From Rocky’s iconic dome to other elements from the world of Project Hail Mary, these pieces are made for fans who love science, space, and a certain very special alien. Handcrafted from glass, copper foil, solder, and a lot of patience, each piece is a little tribute to a story that made me laugh, wonder, and fall in love with it. A little piece of Project Hail Mary - made in stained glass.

The Story Behind This Collection

I’ve been a fan of Andy Weir’s books ever since The Martian. I loved the way he combines science, problem-solving, humor, and an incredible sense of adventure, so when Project Hail Mary was adapted for the big screen, there was no question that I was going to see it in the theater. And it was wonderful... Actually, it was more than wonderful. Project Hail Mary quickly became one of my favorite movies in a long time. The story, the science, the visuals, the humor - and, of course, Rocky. Seeing that friendship come to life on screen was something very special. The moment I saw Rocky’s dome in the movie, I knew I wanted to recreate it in stained glass.
